The Reality of Immigration Enforcement Operations
Speaking during live ICE raids in New York City, Jim Pfaff offered analysis that cuts through the establishment media’s coverage to reveal what’s actually happening on American streets. This was not merely a political exchange—it was the documentation of violent obstruction to lawfully authorized immigration enforcement.
“You’ve got protesters who are harming the ICE, you know, the people from ICE who are trying to fix this problem,” Pfaff explained. “You’ve also got a situation with the folks that are committing crimes that are here illegally. And they’re causing problems.”
The violence Pfaff referenced was not hypothetical. On the same day, a US Marshal was shot in Los Angeles after an illegal alien rammed a federal vehicle during an immigration operation. Shootings had occurred at the Dallas ICE facility. In Portland, violent protests continued with local police standing down.
“You’ve really got people supporting criminals and doing so often in a criminal manner. And so often you have the police doing nothing about it. This is a major issue that we’ve got to resolve, but you have to take it head on. And Donald Trump’s following all the laws as far as I can tell.”

The Hypocrisy of Selective Enforcement Outrage
Perhaps the most revealing aspect of Pfaff’s analysis concerned the double standard in media coverage of immigration enforcement. He referenced street interviews that exposed the manufactured nature of the outrage:
“I saw a guy asking people on the street, hey, what do you think about Donald Trump and Barack Obama, you know, sending three million people out of the country. And they say that Donald Trump is horrible, horrible. We got to stop it,” Pfaff recounted.
The reality? When informed that Trump has deported approximately 480,000 people while Obama removed 3 million using the exact same laws, the protesters maintained their opposition to Trump’s enforcement efforts.
“Barack Obama was using exactly the same laws to remove three million people. So what’s the problem here? We’re just trying to fix the issue. And Bill Clinton removed 12 million, more than 12 million people,” Pfaff noted.
“So it’s just an anti-Donald Trump thing. It has nothing to do with the rule of law or these people that are protesting and violating law. It’s nothing about the rule of law. Just about we want illegals and particularly criminal illegals to stay in the United States. Period. That’s what Democrats stand for. They are un-American.”

When Protesters Cannot Articulate Opposition
The interview included a particularly illuminating clip of a protester at an anti-Trump demonstration who, when asked to explain their opposition, proved unable to name a single policy disagreement.
Reporter: “What’s the main reason you’re out here protesting President Trump?”
Protester: “I agree with a lot of the decisions that are being made.”
Reporter: “Is there any decision in particular you disagree with?”
After a long pause, the protester concluded: “I don’t even think it’s appropriate for me to have this interview.”
Pfaff’s assessment was direct: “There’s a lot of ignorance among these radical left activists. They just hate Donald Trump period. Like they are, they’re moved by hate.”
Race as Political Strategy: The NYC Mayoral Race
The conversation turned to examining how Democrats deploy racial division tactics in specific electoral contests, particularly the New York City mayoral race involving candidates Carrie Bowser and Cara McCoy.
“Progressives fear that Cara McCoy is going to take a more moderate position on crime and a number of other issues,” Pfaff explained. “And so they’re actually resorting to using race to divide blacks from whites in this race.”
The strategic calculation, according to Pfaff, relies on assumptions about voter behavior based on racial categorization:
“It’s racist for progressives to think that blacks are so mentally deficient that they have to be pandered to by a black candidate. That is the most racist thing that you could do is to assume that they are not intelligent enough to look at the issues and make decisions on that point.”

The Virginia Governor’s Race: Contradictions in the Racial Narrative
Pfaff highlighted the logical contradictions in how Democrats apply racial analysis to different electoral contests. In Virginia’s gubernatorial race, a white Democrat is running against a black Republican woman.
“AOC’s staff decided to say that the Democratic primary for governor in Virginia was about racism,” Pfaff noted. “You’ve got a white Democrat woman running against a black Republican woman. And they’re saying the Democrat is going to win because Virginia is so racist.”
The internal contradiction reveals the true purpose of racial rhetoric: not to address actual discrimination, but to maintain political power through division.
“They’re always using race to divide people,” Pfaff observed. “This is the way progressives think. This is the way they operate. They use race to divide people and they claim Republicans are the racist ones.”
The “Reverse Racism” Denial
The interview addressed one of the more troubling aspects of contemporary progressive ideology: the claim that racism against certain groups doesn’t exist or doesn’t matter.
“You literally do have some black Democrats who say that very thing,” Pfaff noted, referencing the argument that “you can’t be racist against white people because they’ve never been racist. But they can’t be racist because they’re black.”
Pfaff’s response was straightforward: “It’s crazy, crazy. And we’re really only one race, the human race.”
The Broader Pattern: Why Division Tactics Persist
Despite the internal contradictions and logical failures of race-based political strategies, Pfaff acknowledged they continue to be deployed in certain contexts.
“They use it. They use it to their advantage and it works. That’s why they keep using it and it’s showing in some of these races like the New York City race,” Pfaff explained.
However, he also noted the limitations of this approach:
“By the way, it’s not working. It didn’t work in November of 2024. We have a Republican Congress and Donald Trump is president. It looks like by the numbers that it’s not going to be working in 2026. It’s a failing flawed way of thinking.”
— Jim Pfaff
The strategy works in concentrated urban areas but fails nationally. “It works in pockets like New York City,” Pfaff noted, but “they’re actually relatively small pockets in this country. But nationally, it’s not working and it is a flawed system.”
International Context: Colombia’s Radical Left Government
The discussion took an unexpected turn when addressing Colombian President Gustavo Petro’s comments about Trump. In a televised interview, Petro appeared to suggest that the solution to dealing with Trump was to “get rid of” him.
Pfaff provided context for understanding Petro’s political orientation:
“Colombia, which for a time prior to this man becoming president, had had some tremendous growth in its economy. And now this radical leftist is on a mission to impose a system of socialism. He actually wants to, he’s kind of a little bit of a chavista.”
The reference to “chavista”—followers of the late Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chávez—connects to a broader regional movement. Pfaff identified the coordinating organization:
“There’s a movement in South America. Colombia is undertaking it right now. Obviously, Venezuela is in the midst of it. It’s happening in Brazil as well. And all of this is coordinated by a group called the Fora de São Paulo, which is the São Paulo Forum.”
“Founded by a current Brazilian president, Lula da Silva, with, and guess who it was founded with, Fidel Castro. It is a communist movement seeking to put communist ideas into countries. This guy is part of that. Communism is a death cult. It’s a result of communism. It leads in death because it must become authoritarian to impose its ideals on a country.”

The Domestic-International Connection
Pfaff concluded with an observation that connected international communist movements to domestic American politics:
“And now communism is making its way into America with New York City.”
The comment tied together the interview’s themes: violent opposition to law enforcement, racial division tactics, and the ideological frameworks driving both phenomena.
Analysis: The Strategic Use of Division
The interview revealed several key patterns in contemporary American politics:
First, the selective application of legal standards. Immigration enforcement using identical statutory authority produces completely different reactions based solely on who occupies the presidency.
Second, the emotional rather than rational basis of much political opposition. When protesters cannot articulate specific policy disagreements, it suggests their opposition is driven by factors other than substantive policy analysis.
Third, the persistent use of racial categorization as a political tool. By maintaining rigid racial categories and encouraging voters to make decisions based on racial identity rather than policy positions, certain political actors perpetuate the very divisions they claim to oppose.
Fourth, the connection between domestic political tactics and international ideological movements. The strategies employed by progressive activists in American cities share characteristics with authoritarian movements in other nations.
As Pfaff noted regarding the consequences: “The only risk is if Democrats ever get in power again. They’re going full board 10 times worse than anything we saw out of the Biden administration, which was horrible.”
The Path Forward
The interview suggested that despite the intensity of divisive tactics, there are reasons for measured optimism. National election results demonstrate that race-based political strategies have limited effectiveness beyond certain concentrated urban areas. Americans increasingly evaluate candidates based on policy competence rather than demographic characteristics.
However, as Pfaff emphasized throughout the interview, this progress requires continued vigilance and willingness to address uncomfortable truths about how division is manufactured and maintained for political advantage.
The ICE operations in New York City represent more than immigration enforcement—they represent a test of whether the United States will maintain the rule of law even when politically inconvenient, and whether Americans will allow themselves to be divided by those who benefit from that division.
