President Trump and Conservative Leaders React to the Trial and Verdict

President Trump’s Oral Comments

“It’s a rigged trial, a disgrace.  They wouldn’t give us a venue change.  We were at 5% or 6% in this area.  This was a rigged, disgraceful trial.  The real verdict is going to be November 5th by the people and they know what happened here and everybody knows what happened here. You have a Soros-backed DA and the whole thing.  We didn’t do a thing wrong.  I’m a very innocent man…I am fighting for our country.  I am fighting for our Constitution.’

“This was done by the Biden Administration in order to wound or hurt a political opponent.’

“We’re going to be appealing this scam. We’re going to be appealing it on many different things.  (Judge Juan Merhcan) wouldn’t allow us to have witnesses. He wouldn’t allow us to talk. He wouldn’t allow us to do anything.  The judge was a tyrant.  We’re going to fight…I’m very honored because we’re fighting for our Constitution.  I don’t mind because I’m willing to do whatever I have to do to save our country…This is far bigger than me.  Make America great again.”

Conservative Leaders React to the Trump Verdict

Jim Pfaff, President of The Conservative Caucus - “Most Americans haven’t quite processed this yet, but today is the most consequential day in American history.   In New York City, what should strictly be a matter of law is instead a political operation run entirely by Democrats, major Democrat donors, and members of the prosecution team that served in the Biden administration. Even the judge has a personal financial interest in this trial and is working to get the outcome Democrats desire.’

“This is more serious than Americans yet know.  Today’s Democrats would prosecute and convict Mother Theresa or Abraham Lincoln. If there is a guilty verdict today that affects the November election, we will have the first instance in our nation's history where the political class determined who our elected president will be. This isn’t supposed to happen in American. This is what happens in some Latin American countries and places like Africa.”

Matt Schlapp, Chairman of the American Conservative Union - “Today is a tragic day in American history. From the outset, the mission of the radical Left been clear: prevent President Donald J. Trump from running for President by any means necessary.

“After failed impeachment attempts, the Left has finally succeeded, but in a different way than they intended. Instead of diminishing the leading candidate for President, they have instead undermined the rule of law and our republic. Since the initiation of these baseless and biased trials, the American people have recognized them for what they truly are—shameless attempts to dismantle a political adversary for his unwavering commitment to our country.’

“The Left's actions throughout this trial, along with those stalled in the courts, have only served to galvanize support for President Trump.’

“As we enter the final five months of the Presidential campaign, we know this won't be the Left's last effort to bring down President Trump. They know that they cannot defeat him at the ballot box, so they will resort to any means necessary, lawful, or otherwise, to prevent him from taking the Oath of Office.’

“Make no mistake, their lawfare will backfire. No matter what dastardly deed they come up with, President Donald J. Trump will return to the White House.”

Tucker Carlson - “Import the Third World, become the Third World. That’s what we just saw.  This won’t stop Trump.  He’ll win the election if he he’s not killed first.  But it does mark the end of the fairest justice system in the world.  Anyone who defends this verdict is a danger to you and your family.”

Dr. Kevin Roberts, President of the Heritage Foundation - “This verdict is a travesty to our republic. This was a bogus prosecution engineered by President Biden and his weaponized DOJ that has made the New York justice system look like that of a third-world country where government officials engage in partisan prosecutions against their political opponents.’

“Judge Merchan tainted this jury since day one by ignoring nearly every motion and objection by the defense and refusing to allow crucial testimony in this show trial. It is shameful that the members of this jury apparently allowed their partisan bias to overrule the interests of justice to render an unfair and unjustified verdict. This is election interference carried out by a Soros-supported rogue prosecutor.’ “President Trump and his legal team can and will raise the significant issues with this case on appeal, which should result in overturning this conviction and justice finally being served. Nonetheless, this will take time and effort away from President Trump’s campaign for the presidency, which was the ultimate goal of this political witch hunt. Americans everywhere should be outraged at the weaponization of our justice system.”

Former Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard - “Biden: GUILTY of abuse of power.  Biden: GUILTY of turning our country into a banana republic where those in power use the law to go after their political opponents. Biden: GUILTY of undermining our Constitution and the freedoms guaranteed therein. Biden has proven he is unfit for the office of the presidency.”
