TCC Joins with National Organizations to Take Swift Action Against Leftist Violence

Authorities respond to escalating threats targeting government institutions.

Washington, D.C. — The Conservative Caucus (TCC) today announced it has joined a broad coalition of organizations calling for an immediate federal response to the alarming rise in politically motivated violence targeting conservative groups, public officials, and government institutions.

In recent months, a wave of violent incidents perpetrated by far-left extremists has escalated from vandalism and harassment to coordinated physical attacks. From targeted assaults on political offices to attempts to intimidate public servants, this pattern represents an urgent threat to the rule of law and the safety of Americans exercising their constitutional rights.

“The federal government has a duty to protect all Americans equally — regardless of political affiliation,” said a spokesperson for The Conservative Caucus. “When law enforcement hesitates to act decisively against organized violence from the left, it emboldens radicals and undermines public trust in our institutions.”

The coalition — which includes TCC and dozens of grassroots, legal, and public policy organizations — is demanding that the Department of Justice, the FBI, and local authorities treat these attacks with the seriousness they deserve. The group is also calling for congressional hearings to investigate potential political bias in how violence is prosecuted and reported.

“This is not just about protecting conservatives,” the spokesperson continued. “It’s about preserving civil order and the principle that no one is above the law. Selective enforcement erodes the foundation of our republic.”

Chairman

Peter J. Thomas is a veteran conservative political strategist and seasoned policy expert dedicated to upholding the principles of the Constitution and democracy. As a founder and the chairman of the Conservative Caucus, he has played a pivotal role in promoting and shaping the conservative agenda across the nation for over half a century.

Peter’s distinguished career includes key presidential appointments under Presidents Reagan, Bush Sr., and Bush Jr. Under President Reagan, he served as the New England Regional Administrator of the General Services Administration. During Bush Sr.’s administration, he was the Special Assistant to the Secretary of Small Business. Under Bush Jr., he rose to the position of Acting Assistant Secretary for Administration in the Department of Agriculture. Additionally, Peter gained invaluable insight into Congress as Chief of Staff to Rep. Peter Torkildsen (R-MA).

Peter’s dedication to conservative values is further demonstrated by his tenure as the National Field Director of TCC in its early years, when he oversaw chapters in most congressional districts. His diverse experience also includes, founding and presiding over the Massachusetts Foundation for Economic Research, serving as director of communications for Papa Gino’s restaurants, and earning accolades as a leading sales representative for State Mutual of America.
